'House Of The Dragon' Fans Are About To Lose Their Favourite Actor

'House Of The Dragon' Fans Are About To Lose Their Favourite Actor

Fans on Reddit have been sharing their disappointment that Milly Alcock, who has been playing young Rhaenyra, is set to be replaced.

It seems that everyone loves the new Game of Thrones spinoff series, House of the Dragon. So far, it’s been going down really well with fans and critics alike, and has already been renewed for a second season. What’s not to love?

Take a look at the trailer for House of the Dragon below.

Well, some people have already grown so attached to certain members of the cast, that they’re a little disappointed about the way the series is going. Basically, a number of child characters have all been played by younger actors, as you’d expect, but part way through the series, they’re set to be ‘aged-up’ and replaced with different actors.

One such character is Rhaenyra, who, so far, has been played by Milly Alcock (Reckoning). She’s soon set to be replaced by Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers), who’s also a great actor, no doubt, but fans have been loving Alcock’s performance. The situation has prompted memes and discussion on Reddit.

“It kinda sucks, I really like her as Rhaenyra and so far, she's really doing great justice to the character. I hoped they [would've] kept young Rhaenyra till at least the end of season [one],” wrote BruhMomentum6. “I wish the younger cast could have had a full season at least. I think Rhaenyra and Alicent’s actors are absolutely fantastic. Alicent especially, her voice conveys so much, her eyes, her body language,” commented J3LMAZMO

As some Redditors pointed out, there’s a chance that Alcock could still return as Rhaenyra via flashbacks, which, clearly, fans would be very pleased about.
