A new trailer for I Am Jesus Christ: Prologue has dropped and we've got a much greater look at the game's setting and the protagonist's powers. Strangely, though, the simulation is sharing a lot of similarities with... Skyrim.
Given that Skyrim is one of the most cherished RPGs ever made, imitation is the highest form of flattery. But we really weren't expecting these in I Am Jesus Christ: Prologue. "Walk in the footsteps of Jesus in this incredible first-person retelling of the story of Christ from birth to resurrection," reads developer SimulamM's description of its game.

At the start of the trailer, the interiors of the houses look a lot like those in the cities and towns of Skyrim. Then, the narrator tells us that witnesses have often attempted to take down Jesus' miracles in the written word, adding that "reports of these things were handed down to us." Sorry, but this line sounds very similar to the delivery of Jarl Balgruuf's "So. You were at Helgen? You saw this dragon with your own eyes?" Just listen to it and you'll hear what I mean.

The game's first person perspective and the powers that Jesus has also are styled similarly to the magic of Skyrim - who among us hasn't held left-click for the Flames spell and hoped for the best when surrounded by bandits in a cave. While it appears that the developer is earnest, there are giggles in the comments of the YouTube trailer about one specific moment.
"I'm a Christian, but the 'you are out of Holy Spirit energy' sent me," said one. Yes, it is possible as the son of God to run out of Holy Spirit energy. I Am Jesus Christ: Prologue comes to PC on 1 December.
