An upcoming deck-building game will be taking a walk on the dark side of DC, with a new Justice League Dark set.

The set will be part of Cryptozoic Entertainment’s increasingly popular DC deck-building card game, which has covered several popular comics and character sets, like the Injustice series, Batman and The Flash. The Justice League Dark addition is currently listed on Kickstarter, which interested players can sign up for and be notified of the set’s release date, as well as potentially receive some exclusive cards for being early adopters.

For those who don’t know, the Justice League Dark is a branch of the Justice League that deals with mystical and supernatural threats, like dark-magic users, demons and gods. The team’s roster tends to change regularly, but popular members include the magic conman John Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Madame Xanadu, Deadman and Etrigan the demon.

The team has been featured in a variety of comic series over the years, even receiving two animated films, Justice League: Dark and Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. A live-action TV adaptation was also planned, but never came to fruition.

Now the team will be the stars of their own deck-building game, with Cryptozoic confirming Constantine, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Wonder Woman and Doctor Fate will all be usable characters, as well as others. The objective of the game will be to build your deck and upgrade your cards to stronger versions of themselves, which can then be used to overpower the other player’s cards and win the game.

It won’t just be heroes included either, there’ll also be a range of villains and rivals from the Justice League Dark series as well. Cryptozoic hasn’t revealed who might be making an appearance, but it’ll likely be some of the biggest bads the team have faced of the years, like Felix Faust, Circe, Doctor Destiny and the Demon’s Three just to name a few.

No release date has been given for the upcoming set, though fans should keep an eye on the Kickstarter for updates.

In other news, another DC game could be on the way, as Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm Studios (the studio behind Mortal Kombat 1) recently discussed the possibility of Injustice 3
