'Modern Warfare 2' Is Bringing Back Arguably The Best Mission Of All Time

'Modern Warfare 2' Is Bringing Back Arguably The Best Mission Of All Time

This CoD level is considered to be one of the greatest in video games history.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is shaping up nicely. Last year’s Vanguard was by no means a bad game, but it didn’t particularly gel with fans. Modern Warfare II looks primed to be the fresh air the franchise needs. The game is reportedly bringing back a fan-favourite weapon and classic killstreak rewards, and it looks like it’s also bringing back what is perhaps the best CoD mission of all time.

That statement is sure to start a bit of debate but Modern Warfare’s ‘All Ghillied Up’ stands out for a lot of fans. In the level, you play as a young Price who’s tasked with an assasination. The title refers to Price’s ghillie suit as whilst you can attempt the level via any play style, it’s best suited to stealth. As Price crawls through the grass, he’s challenged with staying undetected by passing platoons. What made the level so great though is that Captain MacMillan’s commentary in your ear changes depending on how you attempt the level.

As pointed out by PCGamesN, the latest gameplay trailer shows a sniper, likely to be Price, lying amongst grass wearing a ghillie suit. Sounds familiar, right? Charlie Intel also spotted that Price voice actor Barry Sloane recently tweeted, “Captain Price. Task Force 141. All Ghillied Up.” Surely that seals the deal.

If you want to get your hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II a week early, well you can and we’ll tell you how. There’s more exciting news ahead as Modern Warfare II’s multiplayer component is due to be revealed on 15 September. CoD fans are in for a treat.
