Modern Warfare 2 players beg developer to bring back cut feature

Modern Warfare 2 players beg developer to bring back cut feature

Call of Duty players have been criticising the new weapon tuning and gunsmith options in MWII because of one key problem.

It’s officially Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 release date - hope you managed to get the day off for it. The new free-to-play title boosts an Escape from Tarkov-esque DMZ mode, as well as the feature to nuke the map.

It’s funny seeing the release of an entirely new title when the last one only released a few weeks ago - Modern Warfare II has been going down, for the most part, very well with fans. The campaign in particular got plenty of praise - perhaps the excitement of getting it early might have helped, but many believe it to be one of the best we’ve ever had.

Take a look at Modern Warfare II’s version of All Ghillied Up below.

As more time has passed and the hype surrounding the game continues to wear off though, more issues with it seem to have surfaced. As reported by Charlie INTEL, some players have now taken to Reddit to share their complaints over one of the newly introduced features.

Well, the problem is less to do with the new feature itself, and more so the lack of an older one which would have made it perfect. The gunsmith and weapon tuning options allow players to adjust and customise their weapons to a greater extent than ever before, which is nothing to complain about. However, there’s currently no way to save these changes as a custom blueprint like you could in Modern Warfare (2019), which is very frustrating.

“Once I move off a gun I have a hard time [remembering] WTF I had on it that I really liked,” MoeFrappy wrote. “I'm now going off of what I can remember is a good popular attachment or what I googled vs what I actually tested and tuned while levelling up the gun. I just don't see the point plus it’s been a feature in other games.”

“Seriously, this is the feature I miss the most from MW19. I cannot fathom what the f**k IW is smoking to cut it, and I sincerely hope that it gets released on the 16th,” replied ImmaculateBadger24. “MW2019 didn’t even launch with it! We all begged for it and they added it. That’s what makes it worse about it not being there. It’s something everyone used,” added SlothTheHeroo.

Hopefully, this feature will be added back in soon, and players will be able to take full advantage of the new weapon tuning options.
