New X-Men cast surfaces in official documents, with some major changes.

A new X-Men cast has surfaced in official documents, with some major changes that will surprise fans.

Announced in November 2021 as part of Disney Plus Day, X-Men ‘97 was revealed. As the name suggests, it's a re-imagining of the classic animated series of yesteryear. The new animated series promises to explore: “new stories in the iconic 90s timeline of the original series,” and will be written by executive producer Beau DeMayo (The Witcher, Moon Knight).

Other than the details mentioned above, not much else is known about X-Men ‘97, however, a recently leaked document has detailed some of the potential cast and the aforementioned surprising changes.

As reported by comicbookmovie.com (via Toonado.com), documents were discovered via the U.S Copyright Office website revealing some juicy details.

The leaked details confirm actors reprising their roles from the original series, as well as some new additions. The voice actors reportedly returning are Lenore Zann (Rogue), George Buza (Beast), Cal Dodd (Wolverine) and Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm).

As for replacements, Ray Chase replaces Norm Spencer (Cyclops), Jennifer Hale replaces Catherine Disher (Jean Grey), Holly Chou replaces Alyson Court (Jubilee), AJ LoCascio replaces Tony Daniels (Gambit), and David Hemblen replaces Matthew Waterson (Magneto).

X-Men ‘97 will also apparently be getting some new additions, such as Gui Agustini as Sunspot and Christopher Britton as Mister Sinister. It’s worth keeping in mind that these rumours have not been officially confirmed by Marvel or Disney, so we should take them with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
