Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the representative for New York's 14th congressional district, is going to play Among Us on Twitch to help you get out there and vote. The politician tweeted yesterday asking for suggestions of who to play with and internet personalities from all walks of life came running to help create a lobby.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, more commonly referred to as AOC, seems to be more and more in touch with video game lovers as she's already expressed that she plays League of Legends in her spare time (very decently as it turns out) and now Among Us has taken her interest.
She tweeted out asking "Anyone want to play Among Us with me on Twitch to get out the vote? (I've never played but it looks like a lot of fun)" and following up with a "Who would you want to watch in a game together?" very genuinely looking for a good group to play with.
Pokimane was one of the first big names to answer the call. Imane 'Pokimane' Anys, one of the biggest female streamers in the world, regularly streams Among Us with other high profile names in gaming content creation like Disguised Toast, JackSepticEye, PewDiePie, and more with collective viewerships that easily reach the hundreds of thousands.
Neekolul also answered the call. The name Neekolul might not be immediately recognisable to those who aren't avid scrollers of TikTok, but the 100 Thieves streamer rose to meme fame by being known as the 'O.K Boomer Girl' in support of Bernie Sanders when the Democratic nominations were still ongoing.
Hasan Abi also gets in on asking to play with AOC. The streamer and journalist regularly makes content discussing politics with his community and is even sometimes brought on to American TV like Fox as a consultant to talk about political topics. If ever there was a streamer who probably should be involved in playing Among Us with a politician, it's Hasan.
Other massive names that responded include James Charles, esports player Myth, all of Rooster Teeth, Greg Miller, Dr Lupo, Felicia Day, SonicFox, and Chelsea Manning.

AOC is likely to play Among Us on stream sometime this week, after confirming that she was getting gear together and we can't wait to see her appear on her new Twitch channel soon.
