If you know your Witcher history, you know that the witcher of the title's heart belongs, really, to just one raven-haired sorceress. Geralt and Yennefer, as much as they fall out across the course of Andrzej Sapkowski's series of novels and short stories, are ultimately sort of bound to one another - and as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt video game shows us in its 'The Last Wish'* side quest, that's even without the supernatural assistance of an uncorked djinn.
But throughout The Witcher 3 - and its two expansion packs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, Geralt can get intimate with everyone but Yennefer, if the player so desires it. I mean, not everyone, of course - but there's Triss Merigold, of course, to complicate any half-arsed monogamous intent in the main game, as well fellow sorceress Keira Metz, the medic Shani, Skellige warrior Jutta, and the Black Sun-cursed Sylvia Anna (Netflix** show viewers will know episode one's Renfri as similarly cursed), all of whom can be sexual partners for Geralt at some point or other.
Despite sticking to Yen on my own first playthrough of the game, I accidentally (I swear!) chose the (not entirely obvious!) option to sleep with Shani in Hearts of Stone, and felt terrible, I tell you. Just terrible. It had no impact on how Geralt and Yennefer wound up at the end of Blood and Wine, but nevertheless, I knew.
Anyway, PC players of The Witcher 3 can now breathe easy when it comes to staying true to Yennefer of Vengerberg, thanks to modder Julia Barcelos. As reported by PC Gamer (via PCGamesN), Barcelos has made it so that whoever Geralt decides to get down with, it's always Yennefer. The mod's available now at Nexus Mods. Note, however, that it only covers romances that are part of quests, and not any visits to the Passiflora in Novigrad. You dirty old man, you.
