Pedro Pascal Spider-Man teaser sends fans wild

Pedro Pascal Spider-Man teaser sends fans wild

The official Spider-Verse Twitter account posted artwork of Pedro Pascal in a Spider-Man suit, and fans love it.

Yesterday (2 April) was a very important day, and I’m sure I don’t need to explain why. Wait, don’t tell me you forgot Pedro Pascal’s birthday? Gasp.

That’s right, the internet’s favourite actor, best known for his roles in Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian, and more recently, The Last of Us, turned 48 years old. Don’t worry if you neglected to get him a present, though, because he got the coolest one imaginable from the official Spider-Verse Twitter account.

In case you missed it, check out Pascal’s appearance on Snack Wars with Jon Favreau below.

“Happy Birthday to THE Spider-Daddy, Pedro Pascal. Our Spider Society wouldn’t be complete without you,” the Spider-Verse account posted, along with an incredible illustration of Pascal in his own Spider-Man suit. Although his role in The Mandalorian sees his face completely hidden the majority of the time, his Spidey-self actually has his nose and mouth totally uncovered, as well as his hair. It’s perhaps not the best suit for keeping his identity hidden, but he looks awesome.

Fans have gone wild reacting to the artwork: “OMFG I SAY YES TO A PEDRO PASCAL SPIDER CHARACTER,” @0sboreed tweeted. “God I hope Pedro Pascal gets into the MCU one day,” replied @AteBreakfas. “I NEED HIM IN THE MOVIE! [PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE],” @pirate_ripstar wrote.

Sadly though, as amazing as it’d be to see Pascal in Across the Spider-Verse, this artwork doesn’t confirm that he’ll be part of the film. A quick glance at the Twitter account’s media tab shows that they’ve been making Spidersonas for a number of celebrities recently, including Beyoncé, Serena Williams and Guillermo del Toro. They all look great, but it seems that this is simply promotion for the film rather than anything else.

If you’re excited for Across the Spider-Verse, a new trailer is being revealed tomorrow (4 April). Please hype responsibly.
