Batman: Arkham Knight has gained 50% more players following the release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, and all the negative reviews it’s gotten.
The Batman: Arkham series is without a doubt the greatest superhero game trilogy ever made, though there’s potential for it to lose that title when Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 comes out.

Unfortunately the reputation of the Arkham games has been partially squandered by Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, the latest entry in what’s now being referred to as the Arkhamverse. The game follows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark on a suicide mission to kill a corrupted Justice League.

In our review we said the game lacks the heart and substance of previous Rocksteady games, with a messy story and repetitive missions. Other critics have given the game similar reviews, and player refund requests skyrocketed to 761%.
Honestly the whole ordeal makes Gotham Knights look like the true successor to the Arkhamverse, and that game was made by a completely different studio and had no connection to Rocksteady’s games.
On the bright side, all the negativity surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has led to a 50% increase in Batman: Arkham Knight sales on the PlayStation Store. The game is yet to receive a new-gen upgrade so it’s the PlayStation 4 version, which is wild considering it looks better than some brand-new releases.
It’s well deserved too as Arkham Knight boasts an incredible open world Gotham City, perfected combat and plenty of gadgets to form the definitive Batman experience. That being said, those batmobile segments are still really annoying to play.
