GTA VI players are getting a little bit nervous about the game’s release date, as production is slowly falling behind.

As one of the most important releases in the last few years the pressure is certainly on for Rockstar Games, so much so the company has reintroduced mandatory office days to ensure the game is finished on time.

This has consequently caused upset amongst the developers who’ve grown accustomed to working from their homes, as well as raise concerns the last stages of the game’s development will mirror Red Dead Redemption 2’s.

For those unaware there was a significant amount of crunch during Red Dead Redemption 2’s development, and while the game turned out great those working conditions are obviously not ideal regardless of the project’s importance .

While fans fear GTA VI will release later than its planned 2025 release date, PC players are concerned this’ll mean an even longer wait before they can get their hands on the game.

Looking back at Rockstar’s last few releases like Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA V, the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game always release first, with a PC port following around a year or so later.

On a Reddit post where fans were discussing the recent crunch drama, one fan predicted a PC port for the game might roll around “mid to late 2027,” with another user saying they “wouldn't be shocked” if they were right.

Another fan pointed out “Rockstar has a well documented disdain for the PC gaming market,” though some suggested this is a tactical decision to sell more copies of its games since the PC version can support mods, greater graphics etc.

At this point it’s unclear when GTA VI will launch, as for the time being it’s still scheduled for sometime in 2025 though from the sounds of it it could very well launch towards the end of the year.

Of course the further away the console launch goes means an even longer wait for the PC version of the game, that’s just the way it is unfortunately.
