Hogwarts Legacy publisher announces huge free game, will use Unreal Engine 5

Hogwarts Legacy publisher announces huge free game, will use Unreal Engine 5

As if we needed another game to get hyped for, here comes another huge release!

It’s time to tear yourselves away from the world of wizardry because the Hogwarts Legacy publishers have a new game coming that is going to take up a lot of your time.

MultiVersus is being revived after what everyone will agree was an extremely disappointing start back in 2023 without much warning. Fans were left without any refunds as they stared at the now blank space that was once Warner Bros promising new title.

Make sure to see what's changed in the MultiVersus developer update

The whole debacle left a sour taste in gamers’ mouths, so while people are thrilled to see MultiVersus return, they’re also concerned it’s going to run into issues once again. This Unreal Engine 5 game still has a few months before launch, so we hope any potential major kinks in its gameplay will be ironed out before its launch.

“LET'S GOOO, WE'RE BACK!” posted one hyped up fan (didn’t you see the all caps?). Other gamers were slightly more reserved but no less thrilled by the update and launch announcement. “The fact they rebuilt the game from the ground up really speaks volumes. That explains why they were radio silent for so long,” said another.

Needless to say, people are impressed by what they’ve seen so far. “Holy sh*t, rebuilding the game from the ground up in UE5 instead of UE4? That's way more than I had expected. I also noticed some nice chunky hit-stun to attacks that make them look more weighty. And coloured smoke trails now instead of the uncoloured grey as before.”

Don’t worry, though, you don’t have to leave one magical world for another just yet, as MultiVersus doesn’t release until May. That gives you plenty of time to explore all Hogwarts Legacy has to offer. Of course, non-PlayStation players won’t have the DLC to savour, an issue that we’re hoping the summer update will address – assuming we’re still interested and not all obsessing over MultiVersus.
