Hogwarts Legacy fans could be in for a magical treat following developers' announcement that it’s working on a new adventure powered by Unreal Engine 5.
In what was a stacked 2023 for video game releases which blessed us with the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Resident Evil 4 remake, Baldur’s Gate 3 and more, many fantastic titles may have eventually been forgotten about, perhaps such as Hogwarts Legacy developed by Avalanche Software.

Set in the 1890s before the events of Harry Potter, Hogwarts Legacy is a game that sees you play as a student entering the fifth year at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. What’s more, Hogwarts Legacy lets you explore Hogwarts Castle like never before whether it’s the halls or its lush outdoor surrounding environments. There’s a good reason why fans have labelled the castle in Hogwarts Legacy as one of the best locations in open-world games.

So what’s next for Avalanche Software? No doubt fans will be hoping that the development studio is already hard at work on Hogwarts Legacy 2. That being said, the magical wonder that is Hogwarts Legacy wasn't just down to just Avalanche Software because as is the common practice in video game development, other, perhaps lesser-known studios might be hired to burden some of the workload. One such studio is Studio Gobo.
Previously, not only has Studio Gobo aided the development of Hogwarts Legacy, but it also lent a helping hand to Arkane Lyon with Redfall. Though the less said about the latter, the better. As spotted by Gamesusual, Studio Gobo is currently hiring would-be developers to work on an unannounced action-adventure game powered by Unreal Engine 5.
The title in question is said to be of AAA quality and will be multi-platform. So presumably, it’s safe to assume that the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The vacancies being advertised by Studio Gobo include a senior environment artist and lead designer.
For obvious reasons, official details on this unannounced project are very vague at this time, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear more.
