Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC fighter, Omni-Man, stars in a new gameplay reveal, and he’s an absolute menace.

We called the game a “safe but gloriously gory delight” in our review, which you can check out here and were blown away by the incredible graphics, familiar gameplay, and reinvention of classic and beloved characters.

While the fan-favourites are all here like Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and more, there are plenty of new faces joining the roster, most notably the upcoming DLC fighters. The first otherworldly fighter joining the tournament is none other than Invincible’s antagonist Omni-Man, who recently got a first-look reveal and it’s safe to say fans liked what they saw.
Sharing the gameplay showcase on the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account, NetherRealm said: “The realms will tremble under the weight of the Viltrum Empire,” followed by over a minute of Omni-Man tearing things up.
His moves look like they’ve come straight out of the Amazon Prime Video show, which will soon be releasing its second season, and his fatalities are to die for, literally.
One move sees Omni-Man hold his opponent in front of a moving train, which is the horrific move he used on his son Mark (Invincible) during the first season’s finale. Another move also sees him crush his opponent’s skull, the same move he used on Red Rush in the first season’s premiere episode.

He looks amazing, and the cherry on top is his voice actor J.K Simmons will be reprising his role, so you can bet there’ll be some interesting dialogue between Omni-Man and the other characters, though we personally can’t wait for his back-and-forth with The Boy’s antagonist Homelander, who’ll also be a DLC character.
The first wave of DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 is set for release sometime in November for Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Nintendo Switch platforms.
