YouTube superstar and philanthropist MrBeast is being slated online, following a new $500,000 challenge that looks like “torture.”

Almost everyone who regularly uses the internet will know about Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast. The influencer has been responsible for some of the wildest stunts on YouTube, which have propelled the content creator to one of the most successful contributors on the platform.

His projects range from challenge videos for big prizes, often a large sum of money, giving to charity, and even a bit of Vlog content added in for good measure.

Recently, MrBeast shared plans for his next challenge, and fans think it might be a step too far.

In a recent tweet, the content creator shared an image of a large, white/grey room, and asked his fans: “Would you spend 100 days in this room with a random stranger for $500,000? (Door is unlocked, if one of you leaves before day 100 you both lose)”

He then followed it up with another tweet saying: “I’m about to run this experiment, let’s see how they do!”

Challenges like this are all too common for the creator, many of them revolving around lasting a certain amount of time, or as much time as possible, under a difficult condition, but fans think this one might be a bit too much.

One fan wrote “I’m pretty sure it’s actually a safety hazard not to see sunlight for 100 days bro”

Another added: “Each video getting closer and closer to Hostel vibes”

A third said: “What about safety? … If that person is coming at you with a knife, I hope you can leave and not be penalized.”

That being said, the majority of MrBeast’s fans reckon they could quite easily last 100 days, provided that they have access to some sort of entertainment, and the person they’re stuck with is easy enough to talk to.

The video tied to the challenge is yet to be released, though it’ll be interesting to see how the contestants did when it airs…
