The video games industry is alight with news of upcoming games, most of which are brand new to the community. However, there’s still a lot of fun to be had looking to the past, to classics that helped shape our formative memories of gaming. What better way to do that, then, than to play the latest N64 titles available to Nintendo gamers?

As you might have guessed, these three retro titles are part of the Switch’s Nintendo Online service, meaning you’ll need to sign up for a subscription to access them for free. However, considering you’re getting not just these newly added titles but countless other N64 titles as well, it’s a small fee for a lot of entertainment. Not ignoring that we can use a beloved contemporary console to connect to our wholesome pasts.

Nintendo announced on 8 December that Harvest Moon 64, 1080 Snowboarding, and Jet Force Gemini have been added, much to the delight of many gamers. Of course, as with any subscription service, there were questions of when classics like Smash Bros for the N64 would join, but, as always, Nintendo refrained from offering an answer.

Speaking of classics, check out the trailer for the Super Pocket retro-esque handheld!

Just like Nintendo, we’re curious to know which game you’re going to play first. From what we’ve seen in the Twitter replies, a lot of folks are headed into the 1999 third-person shooter Jet Force Gemini to celebrate these games becoming available. “Can’t wait to dive into Jet Force Gemini, followed by a little 1080 of course,” said one excited user, while another admitted their love for Nintendo, saying, “3 CLASSIC N64 GAMES ON MY BIRTHDAY!?! NINTENDO I LOVE U.”

We can certainly feel the love radiating from the responses thus far. As we have varied tastes here at GAMINGbible, we can’t easily say which we’re most excited about. Still, we can promise you there will be lots of old memories triggered once we load up a new game from these 90s iconic titles.

If you want to play the above three games, or any other classics, you’ll need a Nintendo Online + Expansion subscription to make that happen.
