Red Dead Redemption 2 new-gen overhaul makes the game look photorealistic

Red Dead Redemption 2 new-gen overhaul makes the game look photorealistic

These graphics are something else...!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a fine-looking game already. However, a new-gen overhaul has further enhanced the beauty there, gifting fans an almost photorealistic experience.

There are plenty of reasons gamers keep returning to Red Dead Redemption 2: the heartbreaking story, for one, as well as the grim secrets we keep unearthing years later.

Rockstar Games is far from a perfect developer, but it nails the atmosphere for its games more often than not.

We'll always ride with John and Arthur in Red Dead Redemption 2

But as time marches on, the graphics we so love become rough around the edges. Thankfully, they needn’t stay that way for long.

A photorealistic mod for RDR2 by YouTuber Digital Dreams, has showed us a world in which RDR2 has incredibly realistic graphics, and oh goodness, it’s something to behold.

“This is how games should always look like, it’s nothing less than a piece of art!” replied one fan. Another comment read, “The way the sun's light shines through the cactus AMAZING!”

There are many mods for Rockstar’s beloved western, but not many of those mods have fans almost on the verge of tears. We’re not even joking – people are so blown away by how incredible this looks.

“It's absolutely stunning. It literally looks like you are ‘IN’ the game,” mused another fan.

It’s comforting to know RDR2 will always be there, but we shouldn’t get so caught up in love for the game that we forget that a sequel to it is coming. And fans believe they’ve discovered the perfect lead character.

Should you wish to try the photorealistic wonder of this mod out for yourselves, Digital Dreams has all the details listed on their YouTube video. There’s a lot there, though; your PC may just struggle with this.
