This Skyrim next-gen overhaul will probably destroy your PC

This Skyrim next-gen overhaul will probably destroy your PC

Pray for our PCs because this might be the final straw

After over 12 years in the wild, Skyrim is starting to look tired. It won't prevent us for booting it up for yet another playthrough, as our consoles quietly ask how we can be possibly doing another run.

Firstly, there's still so much to see in Skyrim; from learning that one of its strangest mysteries has an underwhelming solution, to installing mods that revamp hundreds of NPCs. And that's only scratching the surface of the numerous gifts this Bethesda title keeps giving us.

While we're appreciating everything Skyrim, make sure you watch these epic wins and fails.

Nonetheless, while we'll never turn our back on this masterpiece, we'll also never say no to Skyrim with such a noticeable graphical overhaul. We're talking almost realistic in its beauty; the landscapes filled with such breathtaking clarity.

This Skyrim mod is a beaut. Unfortunately, this mod would decimate most gamers' PCs. With such stunning graphics comes the burden of a system that needs to keep up with it, and because a lot of us don't splurge on PCs if we can help it, that doesn't include our devices.

The praise for the "last great Bethesda game" has come in waves with the arrival of this mod, with one fan saying, "Everything looks perfect and runs smooth, the graphic quality is amazing." Someone else added, "Bro, this is definitely next-gen graphics; awesome looking Skyrim."

We've been truly spoilt by Skyrim, whether you play it vanilla or modded. As a result, a new The Elder Scrolls experience is "unfathomable" – we want newness, but we also can't envision anything topping The Elder Scrolls V. Maybe some of that disbelief, though, is the fact we've known about the next Elder Scrolls far longer than we should have; it's a mistake Bethesda has owned up to, surprisingly. Not that it's lessened anger from fans...

But let's not end on a low note. We should focus on the positives, one of which is this stunning next-gen overhaul.
