PlayStation is giving away a free exclusive if you’ve bought a new PS5, only available for a limited time though.

If you’re thinking about upgrading to a PlayStation 5, now’s the time to do so, as you can bag one of Sony’s exclusive games for free, and you don’t even need PlayStation Plus.

Check out our preview for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 below

Ask anybody why they bought a PlayStation 5 rather than an Xbox Series X/S and their first answer will almost always be “because of the exclusives”, and they’re absolutely right. Marvel’s Spider-Man, God Of War and The Last Of Us are prime examples of why you’d choose Sony’s console over Microsoft’s.

If you live in the US, the new offer will grant you one select title, for free, from the PlayStation, if you buy and activate a PS5 by 20 October later this year.

The list of redeemable games includes:

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered

God of War Ragnarök

Horizon Forbidden West

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Demon’s Souls

The Last of Us Part I

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Returnal

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Death Stranding: Director’s Cut

Unfortunately, if you live outside of the US, or have owned your PlayStation 5 for a while, this offer won’t be available to you, but on the bright side, most of the games listed are available to those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium.

That being said many are now reluctant to keep their PS Plus memberships, with some already cancelling them, following Sony’s choice to increase the cost of all membership tiers. It was said the price-hike was to improve the quality of its offering to players, though many are dismissing that claim as complete rubbish.

Regardless, if you’ve currently got a PlayStation 5 in your basket and meet the criteria for the offer, now’s probably the best time to pull the trigger to buy it, before you miss out on an exclusive freebie.
