PlayStation Plus April free games lineup poised to take a real hit

Whichever tier you subscribe to with Sony’s PlayStation Plus, there are a plethora of fantastic video games that you can download for free and enjoy for months on end.

The higher tier that you subscribe to, the more games you’ll have to enjoy with PlayStation Plus Premium offering the best selection of titles which includes PlayStation classics of yesteryear. However, much like Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, not all games will remain on PS Plus forever, in particular with the Extra and Premium tiers.

Funnily enough, the titles that are most likely to remain within your library for longer periods are with the lowest PlayStation Plus Essential tier. Albeit that you will have a much smaller selection of games to choose from. Still, once those PS Plus Essential games are added to your library unless Sony removes them or your subscription comes to an end, they will always be accessible.

In March, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium are set to lose Ghostwire: Tokyo, Neo: The World Ends with You, Tchia and Haven, but what about PS Plus April 2024 for the two top tiers? At this time, we can only speculate but Reddit user kayrakaanonline who is often bang on the money believes they know what we could be losing next.

“Here Are The Games That Are LIKELY TO LEAVE In April 2024,” announced the Reddit user in question. The predicted titles set to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium include GTA V, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, DOOM Eternal, Monsters Boy and the Cursed Kingdom and Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.

At this time, we should take the above information with a pinch of salt until Sony confirms otherwise. That being said, GTA V never seems to stick around for very long whenever it's included in PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass. What’s more, with Microsoft owning Bethesda, DOOM Eternal is unlikely to stick around for long either. So I would guess those two would be very likely candidates to leave PS Plus very soon. Whether that happens or not, only time will tell.
