PlayStation Plus subscribers shouldn't miss this free game

PlayStation Plus subscribers are always looking for recommendations, and one of the service's latest free games is definitely one you won't want to miss.

PayStation Plus Extra members can currently access a vast library of 479 games, while Premium users get that plus a whole bunch of free trials. It's a pretty decent mix of content, but it can be easy to overlook the genuine gems (or end up paralysed by sheer choice).

Luckily we're always here to help you know where to look. For example, you have one last chance to play one of the best games of the last decade, so definitely make sure you're not missing that one.

Over on the PlayStation Plus subreddit, one fan was looking to scratch that turn-based RPG itch - it's an itch we all get from time to time. One game came up more than any other: Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

Released back in 2020, Yakuza: Like A Dragon is one of the strangest, most inventive open-world RPGs you'll ever play. In our review of the game at the time we have it a highly respectable 8/10, although others have gone so far as to give it a 10/10.

"A modern RPG with retro callbacks, it celebrates its past enough for veterans without excluding newcomers," our review explained.

"With world class voice acting, and generation-defining visuals, it's a must-play game that easily earns its place on next-gen consoles. Characters are fascinating, the map is stunning, and the way the story incorporates real-world themes to deliver a first-rate dramatic experience means Yakuza: Like a Dragon deserves a spot on everyone's 2020 top 10 games lists."

The PlayStation Plus subreddit is similarly evangelical about Like A Dragon, praising the game's top-notch story and gameplay. So, if you're looking to scratch that itch and dive into something meaty, this is the PlayStation Plus game for you.
