The first Red Dead Redemption game has been remade in the style of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it looks fantastic.

The first Red Dead Redemption game has been remade in the style of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it looks fantastic.

I’d be very surprised if a Red Dead Redemption remake isn’t announced and/or released during the gap between GTA VI and Red Dead Redemption 3, it seems like a no-brainer given the popularity of the series.

We sat down with the cast of the live-action Fallout TV series for a game of snog, marry, irradiate, check out the chaos below

There’s also the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel, perfectly setting up a remake of the first game with an updated map, some new gameplay mechanics and spruced-up graphics.

Whether it happens or not is another question, but God knows the fans want it as some have even tried their hand at creating their own remake.

The one we’re talking about today is by the YouTuber soundslikepizza, who posted a short video recreating some of the first game’s moments and characters using Red Dead Redemption 2.

While the video only really showcases what a graphical improvement could look like without any gameplay, it does a tremendous job at demonstrating how good some of the old characters would look in an updated style.

Rockstar Games fans had their hopes up last year that an official remake/remaster of the first Red Dead Redemption game was on the horizon, and they were half-right.

A version of the game with a boosted framerate and enhanced resolution was released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles, though it was a far cry from what fans wanted and expected.

Hopefully a full-on remake is in the works, as it’d be great to see the story retold for modern audiences, along with a new-gen version of the Undead Nightmare DLC to go with it.
