Steam drops 7 new free games for you to download and keep this April

April showers (of games)

April has arrived, and with it the promise of spring. As the days grow longer and the sun starts to shine down harder than it has all year, what's a gamer to do? Stay inside and play more games, obviously.

If you're a PC gamers with a Steam account (which is most of you, I would assume) you can currently kick off April with no less than seven new free games. And you know? There are some real bangers in the mix here. Should we go through them? Yes. Yes, I think we should.

The seven free Steam games you can currently get your hands on are below:

  • Motorbike Evolution 2024 - A racing sim that's gotten some decent reviews so far. The game is in Early Access, so expect some rough edges.
  • Age Of Water: The First Voyage - Kind of like a cross between Fallout and Waterworld. Expect plenty of FPS action on the high seas.
  • Charuca Soccer - A retro-tinged take on football. Not quite FIFA, but then I guess not even FIFA is FIFA anymore.
  • Palia - It's Stardew Valley meets Animal Crossing. Pure vibes for any cosy gamers out there. Reviews are currently mixed, however.
  • Battle Room - A cool-looking multiplayer shooter where you play as toy soldiers fighting it out across a house. This is a beta, so definitely don't expect a fully polished experience.
  • Forest Ranger Simulator - Another simulation game, except this time you're in the boots of a forest ranger.
  • Deceit 2 - A social deduction game. Think Among Us meets Resident Evil. Except not quite as good as either of those games. Ah well.

And there's your lot for now! We'll be sure to keep you updated with all the latest free games, big and small, throughout the month, so check back regularly. We do miss you so when you go away.
