Steam 9/10 free RPG is perfect for Hogwarts Legacy fans

Steam 9/10 free RPG is perfect for Hogwarts Legacy fans

If you yearn for more spellcasting then you may want to sample Magicraft - perfect for Hogwarts Legacy fans.

If you’re simply unable to leave Hogwarts Legacy’s world of witchcraft and wizardry behind, I may have just the recommendation for you.

On the surface, Magicraft is an entirely different kettle of fish. Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world RPG while Magicraft is a role-playing roguelike.

That being said, Magicraft sees you assume the role of a young (and unsuspecting) wizard, tasked with defending the world from an onslaught of fantasy foes. That’s a concept that I’m sure sounds more familiar to Wizarding World fans.

“The one who pulls out the staff will be the brave one who saves the world,” the synopsis begins.

Magicraft is a magic action roguelike game. The game takes the world invaded by ancient gods as the core, creating an aerial magical fantasy world. The player will be a brave man who strays into this world and pulls out the legendary staff, crusades against monsters, combines unique spells, defeats the ancient gods, and saves the world.” No pressure then.

Enjoy a relaxing tour of Hogwarts’ four house common rooms below.

There are various different staffs you can wield plus a range of spells leading to what developers describe as some “wonderful” combinations.

Fights will take you from eerie forests to an ancient castle, all whilst you fend off strange creatures amidst battles of “colourful splendour”.

If you need a break from the visual chaos of combat, Magicraft also features a variety of puzzle levels for you to try.

There’s a free demo available on Steam right now so you can sample the game before deciding whether you want to purchase and dive into the full release.

Already, Magicraft has garnered ‘Very Positive’ reviews.

“Honestly the first game where I feel like I have a choice in spells and magic casting. Incredible,” one player wrote, while another added, “Best part is the really open-ended spell customisation.”

It’s reminding me of The Binding of Isaac in many ways, which can surely only be a promising sign.
