Users can tune into live streams showcasing some of the big-name games coming to the platform, listen to developers discuss their designs and ambitions, and even play some of the new titles completely free of charge.

One of those titles is The Last Faith, an upcoming sidescroller RPG that looks like Dark Souls met Metroid.

Featuring a fully explorable map that unlocks more paths as you progress, The Last Faith features fast-paced combat with a variety of different creatures and entities, which you can fight with melee weapons, guns and magical spells.

Instead of simply hacking and slashing till a defeated enemy disappears, The Last Faith features a full-on execution system, that’ll play a unique animation of your character brutally finishing off their opponent.

There are also classic dodge mechanics, allowing you to duck under some attacks as well as roll away before launching a counterattack.

The game’s full Steam description reads: “A dark, gothic fusion of Metroidvania and soulslike. The Last Faith thrives on merciless and precise combat with a huge range of weapons, firearms, and custom executions at your disposal. Let nothing stand in your way.”

The full game will be released later this year in November, but Steam users can try the game out themselves with a free demo that’s downloadable right now. If they liked what they played, they can add the game to their wishlist and be notified of its release and any deals that apply to it.

Players will be able to get the full The Last Faith experience when the game launches on 15 November, exclusively for PC via Steam.
