It’s been a rather challenging week so far for Bethesda. More so for Xbox fans following the news that a variety of Xbox exclusive games could be making their way to the PlayStation 5, like Starfield and the newly announced Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Whether the rumours are true or not remains to be seen, as Xbox head Phil Spencer has promised more will be revealed next week. That hasn’t done much to quell the outrage though, and I’m sure many are now wondering where this leaves The Elder Scrolls VI, which was originally believed to be an Xbox exclusive.

In other news though, there’s a new Elder Scrolls game from Bethesda that you can play right now depending on where you live. It’s called The Elder Scrolls: Castles, a mobile game that gives players control of their own stronghold and how it develops over time.

It’s currently doing the rounds in an early beta phase, with Bethesda seeking feedback on its quality and how it could be improved in the future. As part of those efforts the game has now been made available for fans living in Sweden and Norway.

The news came from the official Bethesda Twitter account which also shared a Discord to deliver thoughts and feedback on the game.

It’s unclear when the new mobile game will be made available for fans living in the US and the UK, though when it does there’ll surely be another announcement tweet.

Unfortunately it’s not The Elder Scrolls VI, but it’ll do for now, plus it’s free-to-play so you can’t grumble at that.
