The Last Of Us star Ashley Johnson sues Critical Role's Brian Foster for abuse

Ashley Johnson, famous for her portrayal of Ellie in The Last Of Us, and several other women are suing Critical Role’s Brian Foster for abuse.

The civil case was filed last Tuesday in the Superior Court of California, Los Angeles County, and is accusing Brian W. Foster, of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and other serious charges.

The Last Of Us star Ashley Johnson was previously in a relationship with Foster before filing for a restraining order shortly after breaking up with him. Johnson reportedly feared for her life following the breakup, as Foster allegedly exhibited concerning behaviour, such as carrying two airsoft guns, a garotte, and commandeering Johnson’s home security to keep track of her activities.

Other women have also come forward for the case with their own horror stories to share, such as Foster supposedly demanding explicit photos of women, groping them, and manipulating them with his authority in the industry.

Many said they didn’t step forward the events reportedly happened for fear of retaliation.

Responding to the allegations, Critical Role issued the following statement to Comicbook.com: “We are aware of the civil complaint that includes disturbing details about the behavior of one of our ex-employees, Brian W. Foster. While we can't get into the specifics of the lawsuit, we want to make it clear that we had no knowledge of any of his behavior.

“It is heartbreaking to us that some of our colleagues went through this and we're committed to supporting them however we can. We are working with our HR team and our staff directly to ensure our workplace and culture live up to all of our expectations.”

Bryan Freedman, attorney to the plaintiffs has also provided a statement, saying the case was filed to “both remedy the abuse Foster has inflicted on my seven clients as well as to prevent others from being victimized by Foster's pattern of mental, emotional, and physical abuse.”
