The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest has been given the Unreal Engine 5 treatment, and it kind of looks like an Elder Scrolls game.
Unreal Engine 5 has been seriously putting the work in when it comes to remakes and remasters. We’ve seen gorgeous reimaginings of beloved Pokemon games, concepts for a sequel to the original Spryo The Dragon Trilogy, and a remake of Tony Hawk’s Underground just to name a few.

The next game getting a fresh coat of paint and some upgraded assets is none other than The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest, and it looks absolutely spectacular.

For those who haven’t played it, The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest is an action/adventure game that’s pretty similar to the OG Star Wars: Battlefront series. Playing from a third-person perspective, the player takes part in colossal battles as some of the most infamous characters in the franchise, fighting knights, trolls, and other iconic monsters, you can’t kill Gollum though, as much as we’d like to.
The Unreal Engine 5 remake was shared on YouTube by Digital Dreams, and takes us through just short of 15 minutes of enhanced gameplay.
With a first-person perspective, the remake is almost reminiscent of Bethesda’s RPG series The Elder Scrolls, albeit with more of a focus on large-scale battles rather than completing quests.
We get a glimpse of one of the battles towards the end of the video, when a horde of enemies charges towards the player’s battlement, and is met with a storm of arrows preventing them from getting to the wall. It looks gorgeous, especially with the dark, moody lighting and glistening shine from the oncoming rain.
