Xbox users are mad that exclusive games and series could make their way over to the PlayStation 5, leading many to believe there’s no point owning an Xbox console anymore.
Bad news for Xbox fans, good news for PlayStation, as recent industry rumours claim Bethesda’s latest RPG, Starfield could make its way over to the PlayStation 5, despite it originally planned to be exclusive to the Xbox Series X/S.

While Microsoft is yet to confirm the credibility of this rumour, fans are concerned it’ll open the door for more exclusive games and franchises like Halo, Gears Of War and the newly announced Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to release on Sony’s platforms.

Safe to say fans haven’t taken the news well, as many are now stating there’s no point in being an Xbox owner if all the games will be available on other systems anyway, and that there’ll be no reason to buy new consoles in the future. Some are even speculating the next move by the company will be to make Xbox Game Pass available on every platform.
In a Reddit post sharing the news, one fan said they’re becoming “more and more convinced all the time that in 10 years Microsoft gaming will just be Game Pass on multiple different third party devices and the Xbox brand will be a memory.”
Some angered fans argued that the Xbox head “Phil Spencer needs to get in front of a camera and speak to the community he claims he cares so much about,” and end the non-stop rumours and uncertainty regarding the exclusives.
Others believe if the rumour is true it completely discredits the idea of getting an Xbox in the first place, saying: “It feels like a waste investing so much money into this ecosystem.”
