Xbox gamers, you can grab hundreds of free downloads right now

If you’re in desperate need of something new to play, there’s an endless supply of freebies on Xbox available right now.

If you’re in desperate need of something new to play but don’t fancy taking any risks before payday, you’ll be glad to know there’s an endless supply of freebies on Xbox right now.

We don’t mean Xbox Game Pass downloads either, though I’d wholeheartedly recommend giving Xbox’s subscription service a go, as it’s allowed me to play a multitude of games I likely wouldn’t have bought myself.

We recently sat down with the cast of the Fallout TV series to play a post-apocalyptic game of snog, marry, irradiate, check it out below

Of course if you don’t fancy paying monthly for a membership but still want to try some games before you buy there’s luckily a bunch of game demos you can play right now at no additional cost.

You can find the full list on Microsoft’s official website, but I’ll rattle off a few of my personal recommendations below.

Anime fans should definitely give Sand Land a go, as it’s a charming desert world filled with quirky characters and moments, all written and designed by the late and great Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama.

If you’re more inclined to play a good RPG but feel there are too many to choose from, you should check out Sea Of Stars, a game that harkens back to the good old days of early Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger.

Now if action-orientated games are more your cup of tea, you can’t go wrong with some of the modern Resident Evil games, and Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Resident Evil: Village both have demos available to let you dip your little toe into the survival horror before you commit.

That’s just a handful of game demos out of a long list, so I’d urge you to check out the full list for yourself and see if anything catches your eye.
