PlayStation Plus December 2021 Games Leak, Includes Former PS5 Exclusive

The trio of PlayStation Plus games for December have popped up online, and this leak claims that the lineup is a very tidy way to send off the last month of 2021.

Dealabs, a French outlet that has been on the money in the past, states that the two PlayStation 4 titles on offer are Lego DC Super-Villains and Mortal Shell. The third game is apparently Godfall, and this will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 subscribers, which is a change from form.

Here's Godfall gameplay for your entertainment - think Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, and Destiny 2 blended into a food processor for a specially sparkly smoothie.

Released three years ago, Lego DC Super-Villains follows the baddies of the DC Universe as the motley crew try to stop the nefarious actions of the Crime Syndicate as they seek the anti-life equation for Darkseid. On that topic, Michael Ironside as well as a handful of other actors who had portrayed heroes and villains in other media for DC Comics, returned to the game to reprise their roles which is a sure shot of nostalgia for those who were raised on the cartoon TV shows.

Mortal Shell, conversely, comes from developer Cold Symmetry. As a love letter to the games that started the Soulslike genre, it's a punishing and twisted role-playing game exploring the price that humans paid for immortality. The player awakens and, propelled by the command of the strange Dark Father, cannot fail in their quest. In short, if you're hanging on for Elden Ring's release in the new year, this will sort you out til then.

Regarding Godfall, it's the Challenger Edition that players will get to grips with. Dealabs mentions that it doesn't know what this edition will offer as it is totally new, but the special editions and the pre-order goodies might give us some insight.

The Ascended Edition bundled three Gold Valorplate skins, an Orange Vertigo Valorplate skin, a Gold weapon pack, Gold shield, Gold Royal Banner, and Zodiac Knight lobby title with access to the Fire and Darkness DLC. However, those who pre-ordered Godfall all that time ago got Zer0's sword, referring to the Vault Hunter from Borderlands, amongst their gifts. It's possible that the Challenger Edition includes other nods to the looter-shooter in order to tie into the release of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands in the spring of 2022.

Naturally, we don't know right now whether or not Dealabs has knocked it out of the park once more. PlayStation usually announces the collection of games on their way to PlayStation in the last week before the new month, so we'll update you when the games are confirmed.
