Red Dead Redemption 2 just got a huge amount of new content thanks to fans

You're alright, boah

Red Dead Redemption 2 players can currently download and enjoy a ton of brand-new content in the game's single-player mode, and it's all thanks to the fans.

Rockstar is, as I'm sure you're aware, rather busy on a game called GTA VI. The studio also drops consistent updates for GTA Online, leaving Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online alone and unloved. Really, at this point, it's the fans who are doing an amazing job at keeping both games alive.

Take a look at some of the best Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below!

Case in point: a brilliant Red Dead Redemption 2 mod called the Online Content Unlocker. This mod does exactly what it says on the tin, and gives players access to every single item from Red Dead Online in the single-player Red Dead Redemption 2 experience. That means a bunch of new items, cosmetics, and more.

While it's the most exciting mod around (it doesn't add any new story content or anything like that) it's definitely a good excuse to replay the game with a bunch of cool new cosmetic bits and pieces. Certainly, Red Dead Online has a much greater focus on customisation, so you can really make Arthur your own with this mod.

As always, Red Dead Redemption 2 mods are only available for PC gamers. As much as we'd love to see official mod support added for PlayStation and Xbox, the very fact we still don't have an official 60fps update from Rockstar suggests that anyone expecting a substantial bit of post-launch support from Rockstar is chasing a dream that will never happen.

At least we have Red Dead Online, which actually does very occasionally add new content and gives us a reason to interact with the game's gorgeous open world, even if it isn't quite what any of us wanted.
