Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's install size is over 150GB, oh god

It's been confirmed that Jedi: Survivor's install size on PC is over 150GB, making it an absolutely huge game.

If you’re excited for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you’ll definitely want to make sure that you have plenty of storage space free for it. This thing is a monster.

By all accounts, Jedi: Survivor sounds like it’s going to be fantastic. GAMINGbible’s very own Will McCue has been hands-on with the game already, and in his preview, attested that it’s “basically a better version of Jedi: Fallen Order” in the best ways possible. To the relief of gamers everywhere, a fast-travel system now exists, so you’ll no longer need to spend ages finding your way back to the ship in order to progress the story (dang Zeffo Ice Caves). You can also now customise Cal, and players will find that his movement feels way more streamlined than before. Oh, and the Holomap has been improved, too. Big wins all around.

It definitely sounds like the PS5 version of Jedi: Survivor is going to be the best way to play the game, too. Game director Stig Asmussen recently revealed that the title makes full use of the DualSense’s haptics - apparently, this is particularly noticeable when using the Force to push and pull things.

However, big improvements come at a cost - huge storage demands. As GamesRadar+ reports, it’s been confirmed that the PC version of the game will take up 155GB of space. Yikes. In comparison, Fallen Order has a 55GB file size on PC, so it’s almost tripled in size.

At the time of writing, it’s not been confirmed what the file sizes will be like on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but if this is anything to go by, you might want to start tidying up your installed games now. Get that one particular game out of your backlog now so that you can finally delete it. Admit it, we all have one like that.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on 28 April on PC and new-gen consoles - there’s not long to wait.
