In an ironic turn of events, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has killed itself just before early access as it takes down its servers.
The co-operative looter-shooter Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League just can’t seem to catch a break, as we’re just hours away from its early access launch and it’s already having internal problems.

Earlier today, Rocksteady Studios, best known for the fantastic Batman: Arkham series, announced the servers for the game will be temporarily taken offline due to a bug where new save files start with 100% story completion.

Rocksteady apologised for the inconvenience and said it’ll likely take “several hours” to fix the problem, much to the disappointment of fans. Depending on where you are in the world, early access has already kicked off, but since the game relies on an online connection to the servers, it’s unplayable in an offline setting.

Potential players were disappointed to say the least, many saying it’s “not a great look” for a AAA game that’s about to launch worldwide. Others pointed out that an offline mode for the game needs to be a “top priority” for post launch updates.
To make matters worse, gaming outlets are yet to receive review copies, with IGN announcing that they were denied code altogether. It’s a shame considering the Batman: Arkham trilogy is often considered the peak of superhero gaming, with the only other game coming close to its perfection being Marvel’s Spider-Man. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will see players take control of supervillains on a mission to kill Earth’s strongest heroes, who’ve all gone rogue.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will officially launch on 2 February for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Early access kicks off on 30 January.
