The Boys X Call Of Duty crossover is coming, god help us all

The Boys X Call Of Duty crossover is coming, god help us all

A The Boys crossover event is seemingly coming to Call of Duty as a part of the new season four update.

We all love a good crossover, don’t we? A good crossover offers the perfect opportunity to merge otherwise unrelated franchises into one epic event, such as pineapple on pizza.

The Call of Duty franchise is no stranger to epic crossover events. In recent times, we’ve had the likes of King Kong and Godzilla invade the free-to-play battle royale Warzone. That being said, we’ve also seen the likes of Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and Neymar Jr as playable characters in Warzone, which is more weird than it is epic, but you catch my drift.

Take a look at the brand new Warzone map, Vondel, below.

Well, as reported by Dexerto, the latest crossover event is in collaboration with Amazon's original series The Boys. The collaboration was teased during Summer Game Fest 2023 for Call of Duty: Warzone's upcoming Vondel update. At this time, we don’t know exactly how The Boys crossover event will impact Warzone. Will it have implications on the map, similar to the King Kong and Godzilla event or will it just include new Operator skins? We assume it will be the latter. However, we like the idea of Homelander flying around the map causing all sorts of mayhem.

All we have to go on at this time is a quick glimpse of The Boys' logo spray-painted on a building seen during the trailer reveal at Summer Game Fest. That being said, Vondel arrives with Season 4 on 14 June 2023, so we’ll only have to wait for a few more days to learn all the juicy details.

In related news, Activision has now dropped the name Warzone 2.0 in favour of something a little more traditional. What’s more, they've also removed Nickmercs’ Operator skin from Call of Duty games following an anti-LGBTQ+ tweet.
