I’m not one to put my personal opinion across in my articles but seeing The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Ultima has blown me away.
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Ultima is a complete mod overhaul for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which updates everything from the combat, UI, navigation, traversal and a whole lot more. So much more that the mod by Nukt contains 2291 plugins. If your PC can handle that without Fus Ro Dah’ing itself out of the window, then you have to try it out.

Nukt took to Youtube to share a 12-minute look at the gameplay you can expect from Ultima which sees our Dragonborn learn Words of Power from the Greybeards, fight sneaky bandits with new and improved third-person combat and even switch appearance at ease through a modern UI upgrade.

It's worth noting that Ultima started life via the popular modlist Nolvus, from creator Vektor. This is something Nukt is keen to make clear when it comes to sharing credit for the amazing work that's been done here.
Gone are the original Skyrim days when we would have to jump onto our horse and spam jump until we reached the top of a mountain. Could we have gone around? Yes. Were we going to? No. Now thanks to Ultima, you will be able to climb mountains Assassin’s Creed-style which makes parkour and traversal a whole lot easier.
No amount of updated modding is going to stop the occasional trap-related deaths in Draugr caves but every other aspect of the 12-year old Bethesda title has been improved and updated thanks to Nukt’s Ultima mod.
“The combat is so satisfying it really makes you feel like the actual Dragonborn,” read one Youtube comment. “The mountain climbing is a game changer instead of just spamming jump lmao. The Draugr sounds were terrifying. Regardless I hope Bethesda is taking notes, this completely changed the game.”

Another agreed, saying: “Damn you can't even tell it's Skyrim anymore. Usually a lot of animation mods are pretty janky and clip pretty badly too. But with your configuration it's so seamless like 90% of the time. Not to mention your UI and audio overall gives Skyrim a very updated touch. This is one of the most impressively blended mod lists I've ever seen. And the graphics are beautiful.”
