Pedro Pascal Fantastic Four casting accidentally announced early, it appears

A SAG-AFTRA listing has accidentally confirmed Pedro Pascal's inclusion in the upcoming Fantastic Four film a tad too early.

Pedro Pascal is seemingly the most in demand guy in Hollywood. For quite some time now, it’s been rumoured that the Game of Thrones and The Last of Us star may be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it appears that’s now confirmed to be true.

Yesterday was a busy ol’ day for Disney. The company revealed a major new partnership with Epic Games, teasing a brand new Disney x Fortnite crossover world. It was confirmed that The Mandalorian and Grogu would release in 2026, plus we got our first look at Moana 2. On the topic of Marvel, Disney CEO Bob Iger expressed that the MCU would begin focusing on its most popular properties, trimming down its bloated output and opting for quality over quantity. It’s a shift that is very much needed given the current franchise fatigue many fans are experiencing. The upcoming Fantastic Four could revive some interest though.

The Marvels is now streaming on Disney Plus. Take a look at the film in action below.

Yes, it turns out that those whispers are seemingly true. Pedro Pascal is joining the MCU in an undisclosed role in Fantastic Four. On Tuesday 6 February, Pedro attended the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Retrospective event in Los Angeles, California, with Fantastic Four listed as one of his projects on his SAG-AFTRA listing.

According to Dexerto, Pedro’s profile read, “Pascal recently wrapped production on Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Gladiator 2 and will soon begin production on Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four.” This has since been edited, simply reading, “Pascal recently wrapped production on Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Gladiator 2.” It’s clear that someone let the cat out of the bag too early.

It’s assumed that the actor will portray Reed Richards but that remains unconfirmed at this moment in time. Given that The Last of Us resumes filming within the next 7 days, Pedro will likely soon return to Canada for that. He’ll then begin production on Fantastic Four, The Mandalorian and Grogu, and Materialists later this year. Booked and busy, as they say.
