Ubisoft’s Avatar game finally has a new release window, praise Pandora!
Developed by Massive Entertainment, we first saw a trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora back in June 2021 with a glorious cinematic showcase. However, since that time, we’ve not actually seen the game in action.
In March this year, a report suggested that its first gameplay trailer was on the way. However, that never came to fruition and fans are still left waiting for more. To be honest, you’d think with the success of the recent box office smash, Avatar: The Way of Water released in December 2022, the video game counterpart would be hot off the press.

Thankfully, while we wait for that first proper gameplay trailer, we at least seem to have some form of release window. As reported by Push Square (via Axios Gaming’s Stephen Totilo), a recent Ubisoft earnings call has suggested that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora could be released by March 2024.
“Company [Ubisoft] says it'll release AC Mirage, Avatar, Rainbow 6 mobile, Division Resurgence, Skull & Bones, The Crew: Motorfest, Xdefiant and "another large game" by the end of March 2024,” tweeted Totilo.

Sure that’s not a definitive window, as we could still be waiting less than a year (at least), but it’s something to chew on. Furthermore, the Ubisoft earnings call also suggested that the likes of Assassin’s Creed Mirgae, free-to-play shooter XDefiant as well as the infamously delayed Skull & Bones could also release during the same period.
That being said, despite this information coming from an official source, until Ubisoft confirms the release dates, we should take reports with a pinch of salt. Furthermore, since we’ve brought up Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a recent report claimed that the next instalment of the series could be released on 12 October 2023.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
