Earlier this week, actor Ezra Miller, best known for their role as the Flash in the DC Extended Universe, was charged with felony burglary after allegedly stealing bottles of alcohol from an unoccupied house in Stamford, Vermont. This is the latest incident in a line of legal troubles that the actor has faced in recent times.
Now though, The Hollywood Reporter claims that Warner Bros. are considering three possible scenarios to deal with the release of the upcoming 2023 film, The Flash, given the controversy surrounding the lead actor. The film could reportedly be cancelled altogether, depending on how the situation progresses.
The first scenario would apparently see the actor seek professional help, and then eventually participate in an interview, in which they’d explain their behaviour. Following that, they could then take part in limited press for the film, which would reportedly release in cinemas as normal.

Alternatively, Warner Bros. could apparently continue with their plans to release the film, even if Miller didn’t seek help. However, in this case, Miller would allegedly not play a large part in the marketing or publicity for the film, and the Flash would be recast as a different actor for future projects.
Finally, the third option would reportedly see the movie scrapped altogether if the situation gets worse. Since Miller allegedly features in almost every scene in the movie and plays multiple characters, it’d be pretty much impossible to reshoot all the necessary scenes with someone else.
As of now, these claims are all unconfirmed, and what will happen to the movie remains to be seen.
