New Suicide Squad Gameplay Shows The Team's Skills, Wonder Woman Game Revealed

New Suicide Squad Gameplay Shows The Team's Skills, Wonder Woman Game Revealed

Rocksteady's new DC game is looking pretty darn great - and DC fans have an extra treat, too

We already know that Hollywood loves superhero films, but it seems that games really are following suit. Though we already knew about the eventual release of Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a new DC property I can’t say we expected was the reveal of a Wonder Woman game.

On Thursday night at The Game Awards, it was revealed that Wonder Woman is in development. Though not much is revealed other than the character model of a very classic comic book-looking Wonder Woman, the game is being worked on by Monolith Productions, the studio responsible for the Middle-earth games, Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor.

Other than that, details are a little light on the ground, but to make up for one DC game giving us very little, we finally got Suicide Squad gameplay.

Rocksteady Games, as you may well know, is the team behind the Arkham games. After a successful slew of titles exploring DC’s world from the side of Batman, now it's turned its attention to destroying an evil Justice League. The footage of the game shows just how chaotic this adventure is going to get, and introduces just how difficult it might be for this team of baddies to defeat super-powered heroes.

Of course Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark will have different playstyles and purposes in these fights. Deadshot has a high-powered rifle alongside a jetpack to reach high places. Harley is agile, Boomerang loves a gun, and King Shark is literally a walking shark. What else do you want apart from that?

The gameplay trailer showing them going head to head with The Flash and Brainiac’s lackeys is fun. It does remind us of the Arkham games, where you’d come across hoards of thugs you’d have to fight en masse. A good time for all.
