Call Of Duty fans hail All Ghillied Up as 'peak' of gaming

Call of Duty fans say that Modern Warfare's 'All Ghillied Up' mission is still the best moment in all of gaming.

If you were to ask a room of people what their favourite gaming moments of all time are, the answers you’d get would almost certainly vary wildly depending on their age and personal tastes. With that in mind, it’s easy to list off some of the most iconic levels, cutscenes, and dialogue from throughout the years, but how could you possibly narrow it down to the very best moment?

Over on Reddit though, some Call of Duty fans firmly believe that CoD 4: Modern Warfare’s ‘All Ghillied Up’ mission deserves the crown. It’s definitely one of the most memorable parts of the entire CoD series - the stealth mission was a huge change of pace from CoD: 4's other levels, and the tension behind the whole thing made it even more enjoyable and immersive.

Take a look at this real-life version of ‘All Ghillied Up’ below.

“In my opinion, this is the peak in terms of gaming,” XHeraclitusX posted, along with a GIF from the mission. “For me, nothing has ever come close to the experience of playing this mission for the first time. I play games for an experience and the feels and this nailed it.”

Others agree: “I usually hate stealth missions but even I liked this one. I remember playing it during Christmas break like sophomore year of high school. Good times,” commented jaymole. “Bro I was a junior and I remember playing it over Xmas break too. Played so much my [Xbox] 360 overheated and needed to get sent [in],” replied Deranged_Cyborg. “Still one of the most memorable scenarios in gaming that I've ever played. Perfectly crafted and intense. Loved every minute,” added Meryk.

However, others think that a different mission from Call of Duty (2003) is more deserving: “That was a good level, but I'd have to say Pegasus Bridge in the original Call of Duty was better,” misterjive wrote. “I was going to post this exact thing. The thing that made it so immersive though was the shock effect when you got hit by a rocket and the sound mimicked the ringer in the ears effect and everything moved in slow motion. No game had done that before and it was incredible,” AliAskari agreed.

Well, the internet is never going to be fully agreed on anything. Both missions are very solid choices, though.
