Woah, get ready for the most ambitious crossover you’ve ever seen, Call of Duty meets Crash Bandicoot in the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC.
If that statement alarms you or makes your head spin, you’re likely not alone, as I don’t think any of us could have seen this collaboration coming. For better or worse though, it’s true, Crash Bandicoot customisation options are being implemented into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2, allowing your operator to sport some stylish masks of your favourite Crash characters.
A bundle of six masks will be available to players, completely free of charge. A variety of characters will be receiving a mask, these being Crash himself, his sister Coco, the nefarious Dr Neo Cortex, Tawna, Dingodile, and finally, the magical Aku Aku.

Funnily enough, Aku Aku was already a mask, who’d float around Crash during his adventures occasionally granting him an invincibility power-up when other masks had been collected. Just know you won’t be invincible in Call of Duty if you wear this mask, so don’t even try.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Call of Duty crossover, especially in Warzone, which has had a number of collaborations in recent memory. There’s been Rambo, Attack on Titan, Snoop Dogg, and who can forget the colossal Godzilla Vs Kong event.
However, this is the first time we’ve seen a crossover with another Activision-Blizzard franchise, meaning this could be a precursor to more collaborations yet to come. There’s a wide variety of series that the studio could throw into the mix, such as Spyro the Dragon, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo, etc. There’s also a chance that some Xbox franchises could join the fun if it can push the acquisition deal through the current blockade. Imagine Halo and Call of Duty meeting after being FPS rivals for so long…
