Ezra Miller Issues Official Statement Apologising For String Of Crimes

The Flash star revealed that they're now undergoing treatment for "complex mental health issues", and apologised for their actions.

Earlier this month, Ezra Miller was charged with felony burglary, after allegedly stealing bottles of alcohol from an unoccupied house in Stamford, Vermont. This was just the latest controversial incident involving the actor - in March, Miller, best known for their role as the Flash, was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment, reportedly following an altercation in a bar in Hawaii.

Now though, as reported by Variety, Miller has issued a statement explaining and apologising for their recent behaviour: “Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” the actor said (via Variety). “I want to apologise to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

Last week, it was reported that Warner Bros. was apparently considering a number of options to deal with the release of 2023’s The Flash, given the controversy surrounding its lead actor. It was suggested that if Miller sought help, and explained their actions in an interview, the film would release as normal, and Miller would be able to take part in limited press for the film. Whether this is now the plan isn’t known, but there’s been no official word on the movie being cancelled or delayed as a result of the actor’s behaviour.
