We've all known a new Battlefield game is on the way for a while now. Leaks and rumours have been plentiful over the last few months, from shaky gif footage to screenshots, to rumoured confirmation that the name of Battlefield 6 is simply Battlefield. Well, all of our questions are due to be answered shortly as EA has announced a time and date when Battlefield will be officially revealed.

We're all going to hear more about Battlefield on June 9 2021. The time at which the reveal trailer or video is going to go live is 7am PDT / 4pm CEST / 3pm BST. That means it's just over a week until we're going to hear more about what's in store, from potential campaigns to large scale multiplayer modes. And we can't wait.

We knew that there was going to be a Battlefield event of some sort after EA CEO Andrew Wilson announced that game information was on the way. Journalist and interviewer Geoff Keighly tweeted about it with hints of "true next-generation" tech. The things we are set to expect of this next Battlefield game include, "epic scale" "all-out warfare", and "game changing destruction". We also know that the game will release on both current and next-generation consoles so everyone can get in on the fun. It's not clear if this means we'll be seeing cross-generation gameplay, as some players find it frustrating that they have to wait for other console loading times, but it does mean anyone with a PlayStation 4 or 5, or Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S can get in on the action.

And you might not even have to buy the game on day one! Rumours have suggested that we'll be seeing the game release on Xbox Game Pass. Again this is not confirmed, if this is true though we'll probably hear more about it next week.
