Hype for Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings knows no bounds, and the latest trailer shows that a Marvel villain from years gone by got a call to return to the silver screen.

Rising from the ashes of Phase 3, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is off to a stunning start. Firstly, Wandavision landed on Disney+ and received rave reviews for its kooky approach to storytelling and exploration of grief and loss, and the impact of Wanda's journey on viewers was certainly emphasised by the pandemic. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw Sam and Bucky butt heads in action-packed escapades to control global tensions after the passing of Steve Rogers and the image of Captain America. The series then set up Captain America 4, which will be written by Malcolm Spellman who was also a lead writer on the show. Then, there's The Eternals, following an alien race of immortal beings with incredible powers who have lived on Earth for aeons, hiding their true identities. Directed by Chloe Zhao, the cast is stacked with A-listers like Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Lauren Riddloff, and Kit Harington. As aforementioned, Phase 4 is looking very good indeed.

Not every hero is a goody two shoes, and honestly, we prefer to see these characters grapple with their abilities and responsibilities as well as duke it out with laser beams and super-powered punches. Some of them, though, are a right piece of work. Watch Homelander from The Boys lay waste to Los Santos here.

The latest trailer for Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings is explosive and fans are so excited to see the first Asian-American superhero represented in one of the biggest franchises on the planet. But, it is surprising to see Abomination appear in Shang-Chi and in the snippet of the trailer, the character is fighting in a cage with a sorcerer as his opponent. As a refresher, Abomination is the antagonist of The Incredible Hulk, which was released to a lukewarm reception in 2008 and is the lowest-grossing movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Emil Blonsky, portrayed by Tim Roth, was a Royal Marine who agreed to be injected with a shoddy super soldier serum.

Even though it gave him superhuman strength, he wanted to push these capabilities to the limit, and he then received a sample of Bruce Banner's blood. This then causes Blonsky to transform into Abomination, and while he looks very similar to the Hulk, he's twice as strong as is able to breathe underwater thanks to his gills. In Shang-Chi, it seems like Abomination got a redesign that makes him much more accurate to his origins in the comic books. He has a ridge on his spine that might be a dorsal fin, and overall, he looks fish- or amphibian-like in the cage.

At the moment, we don't know who is playing the villain in the movie. Abomination is also set to appear in She-Hulk, which is an upcoming Disney+ show with Tatiana Maslany playing the titular character. Once we hear more about the character's return, you'll be the first to know.
