Here we go again.

The PlayStation Plus free games for June 2021 appear to have leaked ahead of Sony's official announcement, and it's a varied bag this month.

Once again, it looks like we're getting two PlayStation 4 games and one extra PlayStation 5 exclusive freebie for the lucky few of us who own a next-gen console in 2021. This is according to Spanish website Area Jugones, who previously accurately leaked the May PlayStation Plus games and the recent reveal of two new DualSense colour schemes. We can assume this leak is on the level, basically.

Before we get into the free games for June 2021, why not take a look at some of our favourite PlayStation 4 games below?

So what freebies will subscribers be feasting on in June? According to Area Jugones, the excellent sci-fi space battle sim Star Wars Squadrons will be available on PlayStation 4 alongside the as-yet unreleased Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown. Given that the latter game hasn't even been announced for PlayStation 4 yet, that's a mighty impressive get that's bound to please fans of the long-running arcade brawler.

PlayStation 5 owners will get both of these games, as usual, along with an extra freebie in the form of Operation: Tango. For those who might never have heard of this one, Operation: Tango is a two-player co-op spy game in which players can only communicate via voice chat as they carry out their missions. I can't tell you if it's any good, since it's not actually out until June 1, but it looks like a slick little title that should prove itself a welcome addition to any PS Plus subscriber's library.

Don't forget that the arrival of a new batch of PlayStation Plus freebies means you have only a few more days to claim this month's offerings. May 2021 includes a ripe lineup consisting of Battlefield V, Stranded Deep, and the PlayStation 5-enhanced port of Wreckfest. Get 'em while they're kind of hot.
