The game has some curious quirks.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl landed on PC and consoles a week ago and pro Super Smash Bros. players are ruling the roost. We should have seen this in our tea leaves, to be honest.

With an awesome roster of classic characters like Aang, Ren and Stimpy, SpongeBob Squarepants and even Nigel Thornberry, the game is the first in the Nickelodeon Super Brawl series to come to PlayStation, Switch and Xbox. While its similarities to Super Smash Bros. are literally undeniable, the fact that Nintendo's series has just welcomed its final DLC fighter could not have come at a more fortuitous time for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

Not everyone was pleased that Sora rounded off the most recent entry to the series, and so some pro Super Smash Bros. have leapt over to the cartoony crossover fighting video game. Expectedly, their skills are dominating the community and poking holes in the strategies that others are trying out.

Check out the trailer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl below!

One of these people is pro Smash player Leffen who boasts a "spobbling" technique where he uses SpongeBob SquarePants' air attacks to push another player off the stage. There is no escaping this technique so you could imagine just how frustrating this is to be matched up with.

And, Michelangelo is able to suspend himself in the air with jumps and dashes so he literally disappears from both players' views. Not ideal.

Aang and Leonardo also have abilities that make edgeguarding into a breeze, flattening the competition with a vicious efficiency. Take a look at Magi and ThunderzReign's plays:

Naturally, a patch will iron out these imbalance issues, but for now, it's worth jumping into Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl if you're after a hefty boost to your ego.
