Hogwarts Legacy broom racing multiplayer looks like so much fun

Despite the stiff competition in 2023, Hogwarts Legacy still stands out as one of the best video games of the year.

In a year that has included the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake II and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, if it was any other year, Hogwarts Legacy may have been a standout contender for Game of the Year at The Game Awards taking place later this week. Instead, fans are not happy that Hogwarts Legacy never received a single nomination at the ceremony.

Check out the Hogwarts Legacy trailer below!

Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books,” reads the synopsis. “For the first time, experience Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart.”

Since its release, the modding community has breathed new life into Hogwarts Legacy and that even includes an immense VR mode as well as an ‘amazing’ Night Curfew mode. Gamers certainly have a lot to thank modders for, especially when it comes to today’s topic of discussion.

Hogwarts Legacy will let you live the best fantasy life in Hogwarts Castle whether it's exploring its gorgeous halls, its beautiful surrounding areas or of course, partaking in its main story missions and fun side activities. However, if there’s one major element missing from Hogwarts Legacy it’s multiplayer broom racing. Thankfully, talented modders are on the case.

The modders to thank for this awesome multiplayer mode in Hogwarts Legacy is the Together Team who are perhaps best known for their mods for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

A short gameplay clip of the broom racing mod in Hogwarts Legacy was uploaded to its YouTube channel and it makes me think that it’s a crying shame that the developers at Avalanche Software never included it in the game officially. I suppose we can all hope that it’s included in Hogwarts Legacy 2, should we get the sequel.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
