Next week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s first season will be kicking off alongside the launch of Warzone 2.0 on 16 November. The Warzone sequel will include an Escape from Tarkov-esque DMZ mode from day one which definitely sounds cool, but in reality, it’s been dividing fans.
On the MWII side of things, as reported by Forbes, Infinity Ward has now confirmed two maps which will be added to the game in season one. Both of them are making a return from previous games in the series in new “reimagined” forms, and are genuinely pretty good choices.

Right from season one's launch, players will be able to re-experience Shoot House, which made its first appearance in Modern Warfare (2019). Located in the jungle near Las Almas, the announcement post on the Call of Duty blog promises that “this live-fire facility is just as deadly as you remember it”.

Later in the season, Shipment, a classic map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (which also appeared in the original Modern Warfare 2, 2019’s Modern Warfare, and CoD: Mobile) will be added, “ready to bring back the chaos that only an ultra-compact map can provide”. This time, the map is a cargo ship rather than a yard of containers.
One prominent Call of Duty leaker recently claimed that next year, we'll see the release of a “greatest hits” map pack, which may apparently contain all of the classic maps from the original MW2. It’s alleged that Favela, Terminal and Rust could be amongst those brought back, and there’s no doubt that fans would love it see that happen. For now though, this hasn’t been officially confirmed, so take it with a generous pinch of salt.
