Netflix forced to issue viewer warning over intense sex scene

Netflix forced to issue viewer warning over intense sex scene

Netflix has been forced to issue a 'warning' after an intense pillow-related sex scene in Obsession left viewers felling flustered.

If you’ve recently sat down to watch Netflix’s Obsession, chances are you were taken aback by the vast abundance of sex scenes. In fact, viewers were finding one pillow-related scene so intense that Netflix were forced to issue a ‘warning’.

If this is the first you’re hearing of Obsession, allow me to explain the concept. Described as an ‘erotic thriller’, Obsession follows surgeon William (Richard Armitage) who begins an affair with his son’s fianćee Anna (Charlie Murphy). William then develops somewhat of an … obsession … with Anna, causing several issues in her life and career. As I’m sure you’ve worked out from the ‘erotic thriller’ part, there is plenty of sex in the four-part TV series. It’s this so-called pillow scene though that’s causing a stir.

Take a look at the trailer for Obsession below.

As reported by our friends at LADbible, the scene in question sees William humping a hotel room pillow that smells like Anna. Bit weird, mate. While for the most part, the series has got viewers’ pulses racing, this one scene in particular has just left people feeling a little, well, confused.

Twitter user TiffanyVarjack wrote, “Settled down to watch my guy Richard Armitage on Obsession only to see him f**king a pillow,” while newbyclare added, “F**king hell. Was not expecting the pillow sniffing w**k.” DistinCray_ said, “Guys this Obsession show on Netflix???? Bro just smashed a PILLOW.” Georgieboyg poses an important question: “How can I ever sleep on a hotel pillow ever again after watching Obsession?”

Netflix has since taken to Twitter to offer a tongue-in-cheek viewing guide, just in case you need to excuse yourself while watching the show with your parents. They wrote, “If you've made the (questionable) decision to watch Obsession with your parents, these are the moments you'll probably want to excuse yourself: Ep1: 26m14s / Ep2: 00m32s / Ep2: 22m00s / Ep3: 10m15s / Ep3: 25m58s /Ep4: 02m15s.” Heed the warning.
